YOOO WHAT UP!! What a week!!

WE HAD FOUR BAPTISMS THIS WEEK AND THREW A WEDDING! Sister Larsen and I can't really claim it though!! Haha but it has been a miraculous week! Let me fill you in!

First off Monday!! My district and I hit up Grant's Farm. Which is Ulysses S. Grant's farm and there were a bunch of animals and the goats kept trying to eat my skirt… I was gonna do a camel ride but fun fact, apparently missionaries can't ride animals lol! But the farm was wild lol!
Holding my skirt so they won't eat it!

Anyways, straight to our miracle of the week!!! The English elders have been teaching the Diaz family for a very long time! They are just the coolest in the whole world! About two months ago when Sister Larsen and I were starting to visit our friend Antonio we were really struggling to find women to accompany us to the visits with him (which is a rule for safety purposes)! The senior missionaries (The Motts) who we love and have us over for dinner every Wednesday, really helped us out! One Wednesday we were ranting about how hard it is to get women in our lessons! With the inspiration from the Lord. Sister Mott suggested we start taking Sofia (the mom) out with us to lessons! She wasn't a member but she and her (now) husband came with us to every lesson! How cool is that!

The elders are convinced that bringing them to lessons must have struck a chord and lit a fire because after that they really wanted to take the steps to be baptized! So after a a couple months of hard work and big decisions they decided to finally get married and her and her 4 kids got to be baptized this past Friday! (The husband is already a member)! So last Friday was the best day ever! We got to help throw a wedding at the church and speak at the baptism!!! Literally the funnest day on my mission ever! I love throwing weddings! Me and Sister Larsen even got wedding gifts and wrapped them in parchment paper from our apartment lol!
One of the kids we are teaching wanted to take our
picture with my camera! It turned out cute!

Literally, Friday was the coolest! After the baptism we headed to our lesson that night with our friends Sylvia and Mario!! Sylvia's sister, who is a member's, is staying with Sylvia for a while, while they are in the process of moving, which is so lit because the sister and brother in law got their whole family, and Sylvia's whole family, coming to church! That's ELEVEN people coming to church!!! Just such a slay! Wow !

After some pretty fire news I have to tell y'all some sad news! Our friend Jose did not get baptized this past weekend! He still needs some more time so we are working with him! It was very very tough news and Satan works hard, but us missionaries always work harder! We also think he liked the messengers a little more than the message! So big prayers up !

Sunday was still bomb because Sundays are the best! We had our first lesson of the day with our new friend Leticia!!! She's so cute and sweet! She and her husband (who is from St Louis) have traveled the world together! She's so cool, she told us that she's new here and that they used to live in Arizona! She says that no joke she has been praying for angels in her life to be friends with her, and to grow her relationship with God! She knows we are the angels/answers to her prayers!
Anyways, super cool story, after our lesson she told us that she wants to learn more about the church and come to church with us! She said she's heard of our church before from a couple that she worked with while she was a makeup artist in Las Vegas! Then she asked if we knew Donny and Marie Osmond… my jaw dropped. I was like “ARE YOU KIDDING?!?! MY MOM LOVES THEM!” My comp and so far every missionary I have talked to have not known who they are. So of course I filled them in on the hype of the Osmond family. Luckily, I knew a lot watching the Osmond variety show with my Aunt Chelsey! Anyways, a fun experience that reminded me of home!
Guess which companionship didn't get the memo..

My spiritual thought this week comes from the talk that sister Larsen and I gave at the baptisms this week. We were talking about how to identify the spirit in our lives! And I love love love this verse from Galatians that teaches us exactly what it feels like to have the spirit. Galatians 5:22 says:
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith”!!

I just love this verse so much! Because sometimes we think the spirit will be a loud clash, a strike of lightning, or a pillar of light in our lives. When in reality the spirit really is all things good that testify goodness, faith, gentleness, joy, peace, love! I just love that the spirit is a still small voice and pointing out when I feel the spirit has helped me a lot in my missionary work!

I love y'all so much I encourage you to recognize the spirit in your life this week! Shout out to all my besties who started or are starting their missions this month! So blessed we get to gather Israel together! I love y'all! Remember GOD IS GOOD! 💜💜💜
