ZONE CONFERENCE!!!
St Louis Missouri
August 2024

What up anotha weekly !

So this week was good, not too much to update on but constantly praying for miracles! BUT GUESS WHAT SQUAD! 6 MONTHSS!!! AYYY SEIS MESES!!! These past 6 months have been both the shortest and longest 6 months of my life lol!! Like everyday is pretty long, but the weeks are so so short. Missionary time is crazy!! But anyways, see y'all in a quick 365!

This past week was super duper spirit filled!! We had the opportunity to go to the temple this past Tuesday and it was awesome! I just love the temple! It is literally so peaceful and it is such a special place, especially being there with so many missionaries ! Being in the temple gets me so excited to be able to return home and go with my eternal family! Gosh I miss that gang! (they are livin it up in Cali without me.. 😭)

Zone conference was this past Wednesday!! We drove two hours south to Cape Girardeau, Missouri!! It's so beautiful there!! We got the opportunity to hear from our mission president, AP’s, ZL's, and STL’s, it was literally so so bomb!! But best of all, my comp gave a departing testimony and she killed it! I am so lucky to be with Sister Bruin, she and I are pretty different, but she has taught me so much about Jesus Christ and how to truly love the Book of Mormon!! My spiritual thought is about her talk she gave at zone conf so stay tuned!

This past Saturday we got to go to a baptism with Aysel!! When we invited Aysel she thought we were inviting her to her own baptism and she was like in spanish,  “Yes sisters, but I haven't finished my lessons yet”.. We cleared it up to her, and we all attended Woodens baptism Saturday morning!! Let me tell you a little bit about Woodens! Woodens is someone the elders found, thanks to his 12 year old son Steeve! Steeve is a baptized member of the church and found the missionaries. It turns out that Woodens, Steve, and their family attended church 84 times in the Dominican Republic! But Woodens couldn't get baptized because his now wife and he, couldn't get legally married because of missing documents! Anyways, when they moved here they found the missionaries and this past Friday Woodens and his wife got married! And Woodens got baptized Saturday morning!!! It was a miracle from the heavens that they moved here and were able to be baptized! Hearing Woodens testimony was so special because he said he's been waiting for so long to make this covenant with God!! It was super special and really awesome for Aysel to see!

Church was a total blast !! Ana and Cristian have now come 3 times!! Which is just huge and their daughter Christina has been so reverent!! God works miracles! Anyways.. Like I said, last week we have been meeting with Ana for a while now but this upcoming week we talked to Cristian and he gave us permission to come over for his hour lunch break with Ana and share some messages!! He has two jobs and works from 7-1 then 2-9! We are so excited to head over there tomorrow and Thursday at 1:30 to get some lessons with the both of them! I'm really excited for them and they have been LOVING church!!

Nothing too big this week but I'm stoked for this upcoming week!! Like I said earlier I want to end with my spiritual thought from Hermana Bruin’s awesome testimony from zone conference! She shared a story that I want to share with all of y’all!!
“Once there was a farmer. One day as he was driving down a dirt road, he saw his neighbor had gotten his truck caught in a ditch. Being the friendly farmer he was, he pulled over and asked him if he needed help. The neighbor said he did. So, the farmer went and got one of his horses and hitched it up to the truck. Then the farmer yelled “Come on Thunder! Come on Lightning! Pull!” And the horse used its strength to free the truck. As the neighbor thanked the farmer for the help, he asked him why the horse had two names. The farmer explained, “The horse is blind, so by calling two names, the horse thinks he’s pulling with another horse. The horse will want to put in an increased amount of effort to match the effort of the horse next to him.” This is exactly the atonement of Jesus Christ works! We have a unseen connection with our brother Jesus Christ that makes us pull stronger than before. Learning about the atonement of Jesus Christ has been one of the biggest blessings on my mission! I know that my Savior died for me and I know he died for y'all as well! But best of all, I know because of him  I am saved and I will be resurrected with my eternal family!

I love you all so so much, if y'all have any questions about the gospel or just want to chat, write me an email!! I love and miss y'all!! See you in a quick 3 6 5!!! God is so good!
