Hi fam and friends!!! The work here is great.  We are teaching lots and people are progressing, and it's basically Christmas in October… It's seriously starting to feel like 30 degrees everyday. I miss Texas so much 🥲🥲!! Lastly, this week has been a big focus on trying to help Sis Anderson adjust to missionary life!! 

We have been really focusing on mental health this week and how Jesus Christ truly is our biggest support! Going on a mission is tough and I really had a wake up call this week while trying to support her in the best way possible! I know God is our support! Everyone say some extra prayers for Sis Anderson and I, as I try to share the joys of being a missionary!!! 🩷🩷

This week I got to go on an exchange with my actual best friend Sister Fairchild!! We were comps for 3 days 2 transfers ago! She and I are literally the same. We both have twins out serving, and her and I only came out a transfer apart. We also promised to attend the same married ward when we get back 👀🤩!! Literally one of the best exchanges ever! I just really do love her!! Prayers up that she can be my comp! She's an English missionary though so I had to pull some extra weight here in the Spanish branch, but no stress because God got us to invite our friend Memo to be baptized for November 17!! This transfer is seriously about to be so blessed, we have 3 friends on date for this transfer, and I just pray they continue to progress and be baptized!! Except here's a quick update.. Memo didn't come to church.. I'm pretty salty about it! Haha

Meeting with Memo was fun and scary. I had to teach the lesson all alone and I had to tell him he needs to get married asap!! So maybe I'll be able to plan a wedding!! I'm so excited! He was beaming with joy when we invited him, so that was really cool!! I have to say this transfer I have definitely been working my tail end off.  It's fun being able to train because I get to work hard and kinda show her how it's supposed to be done, lol!! It's super tough, but soooo worth it. 

Now ladies a gentlemen, literally as soon as I was thinking Illinois was getting a little too comfy… Two members took sis Anderson and I out to eat on Saturday night and it was so fun/crazy! We ate at a taco truck, as we were sitting at the tables outside when we noticed a crazy/psycho man kinda circling our table like a shark with a scary joker laugh. It was so strange, it was fine at first, and then he came up to our table with a big bouncy ball and just dropped it right on sister Andersons lap…The member was like “okay we are leaving now”, so we all got up to leave. We said goodbye and got in our cars. With a sickening feeling in my stomach I have my comp get in the car before me and then I jump in the driver's seat and lock the doors. We start to drive away calmly, with my eyes locked on him in the rear view mirror. Then.. he starts sprinting at our car….so with total fear I put the pedal to the metal and I zoom around a car to get away from him into the street. He is now bolting for our car in the street. Literally I am screaming while driving and we get stopped at a red light. I seriously have no idea what to do and he was really gaining on us. So, with so much fear In my heart I run the red light and just pray that we don't get in a bad accident. Next thing we know all the cops came to get him.. 

Anyways, we ended up surviving, but it was seriously terrifying..

This week we had to push our friend Mateos date back one week, due to a quick bump in the road!! But he's so cool, I really do have so much faith that he will be baptized!! So November 3rd will be such a blessed day!! Quick funny story about Mateo, we were prepping him for his interview questions and one of the questions asked is: “Do you support and follow the President, Russell M. Nelson as the true prophet here on the earth?”.. he said no… so taken back I was like what? And he said, in Spanish: “You didn't tell me you think that the President of Russia is the prophet..”. Sister Anderson and I could not hold back our laughter, I guess I did not pronounce it clearly enough, but we fixed our mistake and he agreed ahahah!! Anyways, I'm really excited for Mateo!! We taught him his last lesson yesterday after church and he posted us on his Facebook and it's seriously the funniest post!!! He is the purest human ever!! I'm so excited that we got to be a part of his journey with God!!

My spiritual thought this week, comes from one my faves Sister Cluff!! She's married to one of our mission Counselors! We met in a few counseling sessions to help Sis Anderson adjust and she shared the purest scripture with us. It comes from D&C 78:17-18

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, ye are little children, and ye have not as yet understood how great blessings the Father hath in his own hands and prepared for you;

And ye cannot bear all things now; nevertheless, be of good cheer, for I will lead you along" 

We really are His children, and He really loves us so much, and guides each of us! He has prepared so much for you and I, and sometimes we just need to be patient. I love my Heavenly Father and I am blessed working in the greatest work on this earth. Sometimes I look ahead and I need to remind myself that there are so many blessings in the here and now. God seriously is wonderful. I truly am amazed by his miraculous work! I seriously am so so blessed! 

I love you all so very much! You are so blessed! God is so good!
