HI Y’ALL!! One year into the mish! Literally crazy! I don’t even know how I got here. Fastest year of my life… but also, not! Lol. I love being a missionary! I had a stellar week, so let me get into it!

Tuesday: We got to go to the temple with Trent! It was seriously such a blast. He was STOKED to be there! Also, having him baptize Sis Roos and me in the temple was such a special experience. We also brought our friend Tookia (it’s her second time going). She got to be baptized for her grandma! Tookia and Trent both described how peaceful and spiritual the temple is. Tookia talked about how she could literally feel electricity when she was baptized for her grandma. She said she could feel her grandma accept the baptism in heaven. It was literally the BEST time ever! Afterward, we hit CFA in St. Louie. It was a really fantastic day!

After Tuesday, we just kept having some fireee days! Some highlights include: meeting with the trio (Justice, Tyler, and Dayton) again and talking about the Book of Mormon with them. Having dinner at the Thomas home Wednesday night (oh, how I missed them 🥹). We went to Illinois College on Thursday and then had a major fun game night/institute that night! I am just loving this area WAY too much! I feel so so blessed to be here, honestly. We had a pretty slow week when it came to our goals, but God did not slow the work! We got to meet with Joshua and Jacob a couple of times, and we are definitely still working for our dates!! I’m pumped!

Friday: We had MLC, where I got to see all of my mission besties! I just love the sisters here so much. They are all so amazing! We also talked about faith and what we would be doing to exercise more faith in Christ. The APs had us all make a personal goal for this week and invited us to complete it. My goal was to talk to every YSA person I saw! This past Saturday, we experienced loads of miracles. We got to speak to so many YSA-aged college kids at UIS, and it was a ton of fun. We met people from Italy, the Netherlands, Vietnam, Nigeria, and the Congo. They are all here for the “American experience,” but I think they are all here for the gospel of Jesus Christ!! So, the YSA teaching pool is now international, baby! #slay

Sunday was just as amazing as ever! Like I said, our goals were slacking this week, so only Joshua came to church, but I’m still SO happy he came! It was awesome! Joshua grew up in a very, very different home life than I did, but we connect pretty well when it comes to turning our lives toward the good! I’m really praying he can continue to seek Jesus! After church, we had a nacho bar linger longer and got to listen to Elder Uchtdorf give a YSA devotional!

This may be my spiritual thought, because it’s pretty fresh on my mind, but truly hearing words from the apostle yesterday was just SO needed! This past week, I have really been praying and fasting for revo and life and just all the in-betweens! Sometimes we turn every question to the Lord. Sometimes I expect God to give me the answer to every life choice, every single decision. Then Elder Uchtdorf said it best (let me paraphrase), “You can’t expect God to make your life itinerary. He TRUSTS you when you’re choosing the right and staying faithful.” God knows me. He knows you. He knows that if you are striving to live the covenants you made with Him, you are living His will. So, Elder Uchtdorf advised us all to seek for answers, trust in our decisions, and always stay faithful to God while and after doing so. HOW PROFOUND!! I love this counsel from the apostle, especially this past week, when I truly was seeking Him and guidance! It’s the tender mercies in life, guys!! God is just SO good.

I love each of y’all! I am so blessed to have been a missionary for the past year. This year has taught me so much. Although, the BIGGEST blessing I have come to truly gain this past year is knowing Jesus Christ so personally! Jesus Christ has become my Savior and my friend on a far deeper level. I know He suffered for me specifically (and of course all of y’all). He has walked the path before me to guide me back to our Father in Heaven. I can honestly feel His unfailing love for me! I’ve just grown so much this past year because of Him, and I’m stoked for the next 6 months!!! See y’all soon!! 🤸‍♀️🥹🌟🙌 God is good! 🩷
