Hey everybodyyyyy!!!

Guys, this week was actually the bomb!! Also, Happy Mother’s Day to all my fav moms!

I was kinda debating whether I should add this miracle in here or not because it didn’t result in the way I desired but it's still pretty important to me! 

Tuesday night, Sister Richins and I had plans to go see our friends Aicha and her husband Alhassan. We brought our member Brother Huang with us and shared the most marvelous lesson all about temples and baptism! The Spirit was seriously just so, so powerful. I could genuinely feel the Savior’s hand working through me! Brother Huang gave a stunning teaching about the Holy Spirit and how important it is in our lives, and that instantly had Aicha asking how she can receive the Holy Spirit.

We explained it to her, and for the first time in the last month of teaching her, she was understanding 

the importance of baptism with the proper priesthood authority! After that, I caught myself speaking to 

her, teaching her, and testifying about how important baptism is. The next thing I know, words that were not my own were inviting her to be baptized on June 7th! I genuinely shocked myself. Then I look over 

to my companion, Sister Richins, and she starts promising the blessings that come from baptism.

Although what Sister Richins was saying was seriously way different then anything she has ever 

spoken before, the Spirit was blessing our mouths with words. I genuinely don’t even know how to 

explain it. I couldn’t believe the power of the Savior’s hand being extended toward our sweet friends 

Aicha and Alhassan.

After that, they told us they would pray about it and let us know. We went back Saturday night, and 

they told us they still don’t feel ready. It was really heartbreaking, and I felt a little discouraged becausehow amazing the lesson was before. Although the lesson didn’t bless them the way I was hoping, 

The Spirit in the lesson definitely blessed my life. I am grateful for learning opportunities and for the 

Spirit!

Anyways, y’all—I went on the best exchange of my life from Friday to Saturday with Sister Matthews! This exchange 

was genuinely highly anticipated my whole mission. Sister Matthews and I have legit seen each other 

and hung out at like every mission event, but the day finally came to go on an exchange. It was so 

much fun! She came to Cape Girardeau, and I purposefully didn’t put any lessons into our day so that 

she and I could just find, find, find! It was so fun!

I wanted to explore our area more than I had before, so I scheduled a finding time to legit just roam 

downtown and street contact people. It was seriously so fun—we just talked to everyone (and their dogs!) about church! We were having a total blast. Cape apparently throws a small country 

concert every Friday night, that the whole town goes to—we didn’t even know about it—and we stopped in for a second, and it was actually the best. Then, people told us about a farmers 

market that apparently happens every Saturday morning in downtown Cape Girardeau that I had no 

idea about! So, you know we went to the farmers market the next day and talked to people there too.

Sister Matthews is a beast at talking to people. On our way out, she saw a lady sitting by herself, and I must’ve been in Sister Matthews’s view of the“Free Bible Courses JW” sign that was right next to the 

lady—and well, she started trying to convert a Jehovah’s Witness! Lol, it was so funny!

Last exchange miracle!
Sister Richins and I had gone to an apartment complex this past week that seemed pretty cool. So 

Sister Matthews and I decided to go knock there again and y’all… I’m not exaggerating whatsoever 

when I tell you every single door opened, and they all told us they were interested. We got every singleperson’s phone number and a return appointment with all of them! God seriously just blessed us 

because that was the coolest thing of all time. I was gonna cry of joy. I love cool, prepared people!

Also I forgot to mention.... a couple weeks ago when Sister Richins and I first became companions, we did the normal 

introduction questions. Anyway, I was telling her all about each of my family members, and when I 
started talking about Clay, she knew exactly who he was lol! She had recognized him from TikTok and said that she used to hop on his "lives" and watch all his videos. It literally was the craziest thing!

She then started telling me how Clay posting videos and promoting the church really reminded her that you can still be cool and fun and be a member of the Church. 

Anyway, she told me a story about how she was on one of his TikTok lives and commented on it, 

telling Clay she had turned in her mission papers. The whole time, Clay was so excited for her and was like,“That’s soo awesome, congrats Hailee!” She then went on to tell me how Clay was a big influence on why she was on a mission because of his love for his own mission,  and the content he had posted.
Anyway—crazy small world—but how cool is social media!

This past week, our mission president invited us to do Sister Ruina’s General Conference challenge. 

The challenge being:“Tonight, before you pray, imagine Jesus Christ close by you. He is your advocate with the Father. Ask yourself,‘What would my Savior say to the Father about me?’... Then become 

silent... Listen. I promise the still small voice will speak to you.”

So I did that. The examples given at General Conference were the following:
“One sister said,‘Jesus would tell the Father, She’s doing her very best. I know how hard she is trying.’”
An elder said, “With everything that’s happened in his life, I’m so proud of him.”
This is pretty personal, but during my prayer and asking the same question, I felt a still small voice 

speak to me saying, “She loves Thee, Father. She’s working hard with us, and I see she is truly happy.”

Every day out in my mission I’m truly in awe of how wonderful God is—how each piece of His work fits in His puzzle. These past six weeks have been difficult. Sister Richins 

and I have worked our tails off and it feels like nothing is showing for it. Yet I know the Savior is proud 

of us. I know if I saw Him tomorrow, He would hug us and laugh with us—because He loves us!
How truly marvelous that our Savior loves us not only to die for us, but to plead for us to return to our 

Father in Heaven—both to Him and to us. I am so grateful and truly so blessed!

I love each of y’all! I’d love to invite you each to do the same Ruina challenge. I know God answers 

prayers.
